CLEAR PATH COUNSELING SERVICES

Kate offers individual counseling in-person and virtually for adults who are struggling with the following; depression, anxiety, and chronic pain. She specializes in helping individuals who have experienced an Acquired Brain injury (TBI, concussion, stroke, tumor, encephalitis, etc.) and has worked with this population for over 18 years. She is an experienced public speaker who enjoys teaching people about the common effects of a brain injury and what aids a person in their recovery. Her own experience as a traumatic brain injury survivor (in her teen years) changed her life and sparked her career as a therapist. She understands on a deep level the many challenges and frustrations that one faces after an Acquired Brain Injury. She also provides consultation and coordination of services with doctors and other providers as needed in order to best help clients who are working with a team of professionals. She welcomes spouses or family members to join the client in the first session or two if this helps the client who may struggle with memory impairment.

Initial intake and assessment session lasts 70 minutes and individual counseling sessions last 50 minutes. Feel free to call Kate for a free 15 minute consultation by phone (971-334-9899) or schedule a free meet-and-greet to determine if starting services together would be appropriate.

Your first session: I look forward to meeting you! Before our first meeting, I will email you some initial paperwork to fill out on-line. The forms must be completed at least 48 hours before our first meeting otherwise, I am unable to meet with you. In our first session, we will get to know each other and I will ask you more about what brings you to counseling. After our first meeting, we will decide how often to meet depending on your needs and time schedule. If after our initial meeting we determine that I am not the best fit for your needs, I will do my best to refer you to another therapist.
